Integrated Digital Services

The Integrated Digital Service (IDS) is at the forefront of change in Leeds, making use of innovative technologies to enable smarter working and keep our systems running like clockwork. Our 600-strong team takes care of all things digital, from providing devices to transformational change.

As well as our in-house role as Leeds City Council’s IT team, we provide IT services for NHS partners at the Leeds Integrated Care Board. Our digital strategy sets out in detail our goals for both organisations and the city of Leeds; at its heart is our ambition to make the most of technology to create services that are simple for people to access, at times that suit them.

We want to use technology responsibly and take advantage of all available innovation – whether to improve business processes, generate accurate data or monitor health.

If you want to make a difference to outcomes for over 750,000 citizens and work for a trusted service with bold ambitions, a role in IDS could be for you.

We need team members with the full range of IT, data and change skills in IDS. You might join us in an IT support role if you have excellent customer service skills, or there could be a specialist role for you as an enterprise architect, developer or data scientist, to name just a few. Our core areas of delivery include:

  • strategy and innovation
  • digital change
  • cloud and platform
  • programmes and portfolio
  • business services
  • technology
  • information governance and cybersecurity
  • data analytics

Our colleagues say:

Michal, Service Centre Team Leader

"I progressed in my career with IDS quite quickly, after starting on the service desk. As we’re such a big service there are lots of opportunities to both move upwards and into different teams to broaden your skills, for example I work with assistive technology to support colleagues’ needs in their roles."

Ben, Business Intelligence Manager

"I get to use my creativity in my work and really show off my talents. I love the fact that everyone is so supportive and whilst we all bring different skills to the table we all recognise how each of us contributes to delivering better services to our customers and citizens."
