Learning improvement

Roles within our Learning Improvement service are suited to compassionate and caring people who want to make a real difference to children and young people in Leeds.  

Our team members work with teachers, senior leaders and governors to transform services in schools. We provide a range of advice, guidance, monitoring, and onsite delivery in schools.  

We also play an important role in linking the council with schools, academy trusts and the wider educational community.  

Some of the roles and teams in this service include: 

  • Supporting and advising headteachers 
  • Helping to improve early years settings across the city  
  • Teaching music in schools and music centres 
  • Supporting teachers to improve outcomes for vulnerable children 
  • Promoting the safeguarding of young people  
  • Supporting and advising governors 

Roles and teams within this service are diverse, but whichever you are interested in, you will have the opportunity to make a significant and positive contribution to the experience of young people in our Child Friendly city.
