Lower Wortley Primary School wishes to appoint a committed, caring and highly effective teacher to work in our Lower Key Stage 2 team. This post will involve working closely alongside the other teachers in the year group. We are a friendly and welcoming school that works hard to ensure that children fulfil their potential and prepare for the next stage of learning and life.

The successful candidate will:
- Be an exemplary classroom practitioner with high expectations of pupils’ behaviour and learning and a clear understanding of the National Curriculum
- Actively contribute to the LKS2 team and play a full role in the whole life of the school including our extra-curricular provision
- Be committed to ensuring that learning is effective for all children, including those with SEND
- Have a clear understanding of how to use different forms of assessment to identify learning needs in order to support the development of all children
- Be hardworking, organised and able to meet deadlines
- Form good relationships within the team and manage non-teaching staff effectively
- Be able to demonstrate a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of pupils and their families
- Show dedication to our curriculum drivers of citizenship, ambition and resilience.
