Meanwood Valley Urban Farm is a charity established in 1980 to promote the health and wellbeing of people across Leeds and to provide education in agriculture, horticulture, and the natural environment.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and responsible adult to join our small team to work weekends on a rota basis covering all aspects of livestock care for a variety of large and small animals. Duties will include maintaining animal health, cleanliness, routine animal husbandry, upkeep of relevant animal records.
This role also involves interacting with visitors to ensure they enjoy their experience of Meanwood Valley Urban Farm.
You will have experience of working with large livestock and small animals, be reliable & conscientious.
This role involves working alone, outdoors in all weather conditions on uneven ground including steep gradients.
There may be opportunities for additional hours at busy periods e.g., lambing and holiday/sickness cover.
This role requires enhanced DBS vetting.
