Weekend Family/Play Worker at HMP Wealstun
Jigsaw seeks 1 part time Weekend Family/Play Worker (16 hours) working 2 days a week Saturday’s & Sunday’s.
Jigsaw Visitors Centre is an independent charity which works in partnership with HMP Wealstun to support families whilst visiting their loved ones in custody. We focus on providing information, advice, support, and sign-posting ~ all aimed at encouraging people to improve their lives, both whilst in custody and on transition back into the community.
1 Weekend Family Workers needed (8 hours)
Saturday’s & Sunday’s 8.15am – 4.45pm
Salary NJC SCP 3 £24,796 FTE (Actual Salary £10,723)
The Jigsaw Visitors’ Centre is looking to appoint someone to provide family
support in the Visitors Centre through welcoming visitors, providing face to face support, and also providing information for first-time visitors, working with children in the play area in the Visits Hall, helping with the organisation of other family events within HMP Wealstun and support other areas of the family services delivery when required.
