The Thrive Manager plays a vital role in ensuring that students with SEND needs have the support they need in school. The successful candidate will offer a supportive learning environment for students who are spending time in Thrive. Thrive is used as a short term, sometimes longer-term space for students who have SEND needs.
Thrive ensures a strong commitment to safeguarding young people and the school’s mission statement “enabling young people to achieve success”.
The role involves supporting students both whilst they are in Thrive and when they are reintegrating into their mainstream lessons.
The Thrive Manager will:
- Support the delivery of a targeted curriculum focusing primarily on academic strands ie:
Support specialist teaching staff during their lessons in Thrive
Deliver PSE style lessons and activities that promote personal development
Deliver targeted restorative packages to support improving behaviours
- Support students throughout their time in Thrive
- Lead the day to day running of Thrive for staff and students
- Oversee the effective management of behaviour in Thrive
- Liaise with parents/carers, the attendance team, the Behaviour Support Team, Heads of Year and external agencies with the goals of successful reintegration into mainstream school where possible.
37 hours per week
Monday to Thursday 8.00am – 4.00pm
Friday 8.00am – 3.30pm
30 minutes for lunch per day
