Monday to Friday 8.30am -3.15pm (with 30 mins unpaid lunch break)
Churwell is a welcoming and inclusive school which aims to provide an education of the highest quality.
We are looking for enthusiastic, friendly and caring Teaching Assistants to work initially in Early Years and KS1, but which may eventually involve working across all year groups. The role includes:
- Whole class and small group support
- Timetabled support for children with specific SEND/SEMH needs
- Delivering in class support and small group/1:1 interventions
- Working as part of the wider team across school
The successful candidates will be determined to help children achieve their full potential from whatever their starting point is.
You will have strong English and Maths skills along with good organisational abilities. Being able to work as part of a team and with your own initiative is essential. An understanding and caring nature is required to support groups of children to develop and progress from varied starting points.
You will also support children during the lunchtime period. This could be:
- A small group of children who require support to access lunchtimes
- Supervising lunchtime play; organising games or facilitating play
