We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed Teacher of English to join our dynamic and collaborative department. The successful candidate will teach across the 11–18 age range and have the skills, dedication and passion to deliver the English curriculum to the highest standards.

For the right candidate, there is the opportunity to take on a whole-school leadership role in literacy, with a TLR available. This would suit an experienced and motivated practitioner with a passion for improving literacy outcomes across the curriculum.
TLR Responsibility: Whole School Literacy (for suitable candidates)
The successful candidate will take a strategic lead on whole-school literacy, working closely with curriculum leaders, pastoral teams and SLT to ensure literacy is a high priority across all subject areas. Key responsibilities will include:
- Promoting a love of reading across the school, including through initiatives, events, and the development of reading-rich environments.
- Leading on staff CPD related to literacy, supporting colleagues in embedding effective strategies for reading, writing, speaking and listening into their classroom practice.
- Using reading and literacy data to identify gaps, track impact, and inform targeted interventions, particularly for key groups.
- Supporting the development of disciplinary literacy approaches that reflect the demands of individual subject areas.
- Contributing to whole-school strategy on literacy development and working with stakeholders to ensure literacy is central to improving outcomes for all students.
