The Governing Body and Head Teacher wish to recruit a Teacher for SEND to support pupils with a range of special educational needs and disabilities across our mainstream school, delivering targeted teaching and supporting staff to ensure pupils with SEND achieve positive outcomes.
We are looking for someone passionate about inclusion, with the skills and experience to be able to:
- Deliver targeted teaching and interventions for pupils with SEND, including Autism and developmental and communication difficulties.
- Plan and deliver teaching for pupils working on adapted learning pathways, including through frameworks such as SENIT Developmental Journal, B-Squared and EHCP outcomes.
- Work with the Pastoral and Inclusion Team, including the SENDCo, class teachers and learning leaders to support pupils with SEND, including those with EHCPs.
- Support pupils individually, in groups and across classes.
- Inspire and engage children in the learning process.
- Nurture social and personal communication skills, modelling positive relationships with children and adults.
- Be committed to our school and our mission to Learn, Believe, Aspire and Achieve.
- Be committed to the happiness, wellbeing, self-esteem and progress of everyone at the school.
- Be willing to participate fully in the life of the school.
