A unique opportunity has arisen for a Specialist Secondary Science Teacher to be part of the Learning Access Teaching Team (LATT), which is co-located and integrated with the Medical Needs Teaching Service (MNTS). If you are an inspirational Teacher of Science at KS3/4 and have the ability to deliver outstanding learning you might be the person we are looking for.

We are seeking to appoint an individual with a vision and drive for education, who is motivated to develop our science offer; an experienced and enthusiastic teacher who will be responsible for the delivery of high-quality education to children and young people who are unable to attend school because of health needs (medical/mental health).

The successful candidate will be:

  • an experienced, enthusiastic and creative teacher of science
  • able to work constructively with other professionals as part of a multi-disciplinary team
  • able to contribute to the whole service vision

The MNTS and LATT are services commissioned by Leeds Local Authority through Service Level Agreements with the East Specialist Inclusive Learning Centre. The LATT delivers learning at Queenswood Education Centre with some sessions taught off-site, and the MNTS delivers learning in four settings across Leeds.

Post-holders are appointed to the Learning Access Teaching Team, which is co-located and integrated with the Medical Needs Teaching Service.

The post holder must have a driver’s licence, have the use of the car and be able to drive across the city between sites as required.
