We are seeking a practitioner to join our pioneering Sex Worker Outreach Team within our dynamic and forward-thinking organisation.

This role offers a profound opportunity to join a dedicated team focused on supporting individuals engaged in or at risk of engaging in sex work. The essence of this role is to reach, support, engage, and provide choices to individuals, employing a comprehensive and empathetic approach to address both immediate needs and the underlying challenges faced by this community.

Encourage a service ethos that seeks to understand and address the multifaceted nature of individuals’ experiences.
  • Partnership Collaboration: Foster strategic alliances with a broad spectrum of city-wide services, including sex worker charities, domestic abuse agencies, homelessness prevention initiatives, and substance misuse specialists. Collaborate to enhance safety, reduce risks associated with sex work and substance use, and improve overall health and social outcomes.
  • Person-Centred Care: Ensure the delivery of tailored, person-centred, and wraparound support by working closely with key agencies. Offer comprehensive assessment and care plans that align with the specific needs and aspirations of each individual.

Who are we…
Waythrough (Formerly Humankind) launched in October 2024 following the merger of Humankind and Richmond Fellowship. Our vision is to break down the barriers that stop people getting the support they need to live a life they value. We tackle poverty and disadvantage in communities, through mental health, drug and alcohol, housing and related support.

We have almost 200 services around England – and nearly 3,500 amazing staff and volunteers who run them. Every year our services support around 125,000 people.

Bringing together two big organisations is not a small task and it’ll take a while to fully integrate our systems, processes and approaches. That’s why you will notice the jobs here are still branded ‘Humankind’. Next year we’ll be fully integrating our recruitment systems but for now they are separate.
