We are looking for an experienced Service Manager to join our Adult Learning Disability services on a 6-month fixed term basis. This is not a registered manager role, but it is an important leadership role within the service. We are looking for someone who can step in, provide strong operational leadership, support staff teams and help ensure the people we support continue to live safe, fulfilling and independent lives.

This role is about leadership, relationships and quality. You will work closely with the senior leadership team to strengthen day-to-day practice, support teams to feel confident and capable, and ensure the services continue to deliver the high standards we expect for the people who live there.

About the Role

  • Provide day-to-day leadership and oversight to staff teams across the service
  • Support a deputy manager and staff to deliver high quality, person centred support
  • Ensure services operate safely, effectively and in line with regulatory expectations
  • Strengthen team confidence, supervision and accountability
  • Work closely with the senior leadership team to maintain quality and stability across services
  • Build positive relationships with families, professionals and external partners
  • Ensure safeguarding, health & safety and quality systems remain strong

This is a role for someone who can walk into a service, understand what matters quickly, and bring people with them.

Who We Are Looking For

  • Strong experience managing services for adults with learning disabilities
  • Confidence in leading teams and supporting staff development
  • Understanding of safeguarding, risk management and quality assurance in care services
  • Ability to build positive relationships with families and professionals
  • A calm, reflective and solutions-focused approach
  • Warmth, clarity and credibility in leadership
  • A Level 5 qualification in Leadership for Health & Social Care is desirable, but not essential for this fixed term role if you bring the right experience.
