About the Role
As a SEND Teaching Assistant at Castleton, you will play a vital role in supporting children with special educational needs, either in small groups or through 1:1 support, including work within our SEND provision. Your support will help children overcome barriers to learning and build confidence, resilience, and independence.
You will work closely with teachers and the leadership team to deliver personalised learning experiences that respond to each child’s needs. This is an exciting opportunity to make a tangible impact on children’s progress and well-being in a school that truly values every member of its community.
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Is compassionate, patient, and committed to nurturing children’s individual potential
- Has experience or a keen interest in supporting children with SEND
- Works collaboratively with colleagues and families to create inclusive learning environments
- Is adaptable, proactive, and eager to contribute ideas to improve practice
- Ideally holds a Teaching Assistant Level 3 qualification or relevant SEND training (though this is not essential)
