SEND Teaching Assistant (E6050) - Rufford Park Primary School

Are you looking for a new challenge? Do you enjoy working as part of a team and helping children achieve their full potential? If so, we have the perfect role for you.

We are looking to recruit a suitably skilled SEND Teaching Assistant (TA) to join our exciting school.  We have: a great mix of children; a strong and supportive staff team; and we have a good reputation for the inclusion of children with special needs.  We also have a supportive parent and governing body.  We were graded as a good school by Ofsted in July 2022.

We require a skilled and committed person who can work in a 1:1 role to support teaching and learning and address the personal and individual needs of a SEND pupil.  You will need to be a good communicator, cheerful, calm, resilient and able to work as part of a team and individually.  Ideally, you will have a relevant Teaching Assistant qualification and have some experience of working in a primary school and/or supporting children with SEND.

The role is offered on a permanent basis starting as soon as possible.

You will not routinely be expected to work Teacher Training Days but may be invited to do so on occasions and will be paid overtime.

The hours of work will be 31 hours and 40 minutes per week term time only. The hours of work will be Mon-Fri 08:40-15:30 with a 30-minute unpaid lunch.

Interested candidates are welcome (and encouraged) to visit the school.  For more information or to arrange an appointment, please contact the school office. You can also find out about the school by visiting the website https://www.ruffordparkprimary.org.uk/

The closing date for applications will be noon on Monday 11 November 2024 and shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend an interview on Thursday 14 November 2024.

Application packs are available to download from the vacancies section of our website or alternatively you can email office@ruffordparkprimary.org.uk to request a pack.

Our School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of our pupils and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Appointments made are subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check. If shortlisted, you will be required to disclose relevant information regarding criminal history and an on-line search will be conducted.  This includes only information publicly available on-line.
