Leeds College of Building is growing, and we have an exciting and rewarding opportunity to join the College’s Safeguarding Team. In this key role, you will support vulnerable students and their families where specific safeguarding concerns have been identified.

The Safeguarding Officer role is essential in the effective management of safeguarding concerns, ensuring a proactive and responsive safeguarding culture. You are responsible for managing safeguarding referrals through the CPOMS system, ensuring all interventions align with child protection legislation and statutory guidance, including Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) and working together to safeguard children.

The successful candidate will have proven safeguarding experience and will work effectively in collaboration with staff and external agencies to help achieve meaningful outcomes for those students and their families. You must be reliable, dependable and committed to maintaining high professional standards.

It is essential that the post-holder shares our college ethos which is firmly rooted in a restorative approach. They must have completed or be willing to complete the Level 2 Safeguarding training for designated staff and undertake any relevant training associated with the post.
