Rough Sleepers Recovery Coordinator (E6024) - The Bridge Project

Are you passionate about making a difference to the lives of those who need it most?  If so, we have a number of rewarding opportunities and would love to hear from you!

New Vision Bradford is a partnership between the Bridge Project, Project 6 and Waythrough.  Under this umbrella, the partnership delivers an adult substance misuse service for the Bradford and Craven District, aiming to help people tackle the misuse of alcohol and drugs and reduce risk taking behaviours through dedicated prevention, intervention, and support.

The Bridge Project is wanting to recruit 2 full-time Rough Sleeper Recovery Coordinators, working under the New Vision Bradford umbrella, based at several site locations.  It is essential that the successful applicant is able to travel across the district, getting to different locations so a full driving licence and access to a vehicle is an essential requirement.

The role will work as part of the multi-disciplinary team delivering high quality substance misuse treatment by supporting service users from point of entry into the service and throughout their treatment and recovery journey.  Outreach is a key component of the role to connect with individuals rough sleeping or at risk of rough sleeping with substance use concerns and other unmet needs, which may include mental or physical health, relationships, finances or criminal justice involvement.

You will play a crucial role acting as the main care coordinator for an assigned group of service users, coordinating tailor made packages of care and providing vital support, including comprehensive assessments, recovery planning, one to one key work, recognised psychosocial interventions and harm minimisation.

Everything we do aims to positively impact the lives of rough sleepers or those at risk of rough sleeping. In order to be considered for this role you will need 2 years’ full time experience of working with people with alcohol and/or drug problems and/or people with complex and multiple needs within a 4 year period as well as being able to demonstrate experience of case management and delivering care coordination in substance misuse or a directly related field.

We are looking for someone who is dedicated and passionate about supporting others to make change.  You will be highly organised with excellent communication skills and able to manage your time effectively, working as part of the team with a co-operative approach to supporting colleagues to ensure a high-quality service is maintained, whilst applying your knowledge and understanding of drug and alcohol issues.

There is an element of flexibility around working hours required by the postholder.  A willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check is also a requirement of the post.

If you are wanting to build a brighter future for individuals experiencing rough sleeping or at risk of this and would like to have an informal conversation about the role, please contact Richard Moor on Richard.moor@newvisionbradford.org.uk to arrange this.

In return, as well as a rewarding career, we can offer a competitive salary, 4% pension contribution, generous annual leave entitlement, employee assistance scheme, life insurance, a monthly team wellbeing session and a programme of mindfulness activities for staff.  The Bridge Project is a Mindful Employer.
