Belle Isle Tenant Management Organisation is the largest estate based tenant management organisation in the country. Working closely with Leeds City Council, we are responsible for managing LCC’s housing and estate management services in the Belle Isle neighbourhood of Leeds.

During your secondment with us, you will enhance these skills, and broaden your knowledge and experience. This is a great opportunity to learn and build on what you already know, returning to your current employer after six months with some additional valuable skills and experience.
Our small team focuses on supporting tenants who find themselves in positions where paying rent is difficult. We try to help identify solutions and encourage taking appropriate action, and this also supports our duty and responsibilities to collect rent as best we can. It can be very rewarding seeing the results from the work you undertake.

We are responsible for the repairs and capital investment to maintain approximately nineteen hundred properties in the Belle Isle area of Leeds. We have a strong track record of success, and we are looking for the right person to join our team for 6 months to cover a period of maternity leave.
Working within a small team of Rent Account Officers, you will support the Income & Tenancy Manager in undertaking an efficient arrears recovery role, negotiating payment terms with debtors and their representatives, undertaking tenancy visits, advising tenants on the options available for the payment of rent including applications for Universal Credit and housing benefit, maximising income through various debt recovery processes, liaising with legal services and outside agencies in the recovery of debt.
You will also play a role in facilitating service requests for several other tenancy related matters. This may come from proposals for mutual exchanges, enquires regarding tenancy changes, events following the death of a tenant and rights of succession, requests to assign a tenancy, and allegations of tenancy fraud.
