Leeds Women’s Aid (LWA) is the largest women’s charitable organisation in Leeds and provides services for victims of domestic violence and abuse, honour-based violence, forced marriage, trafficking, stalking and harassment and is the lead agency for two consortia, Leeds Domestic Violence Service and Women’s and Girls Alliance.

We are looking for a compassionate and supportive Refuge Night worker to join our team. The Out-of-hours Team are the first point of contact for, and access to LDVS for any person experiencing domestic violence and abuse. We work with victim-survivors providing a 24-hour helpline service and specialist guidance to our residents residing at our refuge accommodation.

You will need:

  • A good understanding of the impact of domestic violence and abuse on victim survivors, children and their families.
  • Experience of telephone based and/or customer service advice or support work.
  • The ability to work under pressure in stressful or difficult situations.
  • Great listening skills
  • Able to work within an operational multi agency environment
  • Able to lone work

The closing date is 9.00 am on Monday 1st June 2026; interviews will be held on Thursday 11th June 2026.
