Pay Grade: B1 point 5 (FTE Salary £ 23,499 / Actual Salary £5,323)

Calverley CE is a friendly, caring and popular school filled with happy, enthusiastic and talented learners, and equally happy, enthusiastic, talented and committed staff team!

We are transforming lunchtimes and are looking for an enthusiastic person to lead our permanent lunchtime team. We are working with Outdoor Play and Learning (OPAL) over the next 2 years to develop our use of our amazing outdoor space to ensure rich, inclusive and exciting lunchtime play for all our children. Our successful Play Coordinator will have the following skills and attributes:

  • Values outdoor play. 
  • Good at listening to and socialising with children. 
  • Understands the play needs of children and young people. 
  • Motivated to provide a stimulating but safe environment. 
  • Be patient and tolerant. 
  • Aware of health and safety issues. 
  • Able to work well as a member of a team 
  • Good communication skills. 
  • Flexible and adaptable. 
  • Have a sense of fun. 
  • Have a reasonable level of physical fitness. 
  • Knowledge and understanding of the values of play 
  • Be creative, intuitive and think outside the box. 
  • Awareness of safeguarding responsibilities and processes. 
  • Administering of First aid (experience/a first aid qualification would be desirable but not essential).
  • Able to build good relationships with children and their parents and carers.
