PE Cover Facilitator

Salary Range C1 £26, 421 to £28, 769 

Actual Salary £22, 143 per annum 

37 Hours Per Week - Term Time Only 

We are seeking to appoint a graduate sports cover assistant to join our growing, dynamic and supportive school. The successful candidate will be a sports graduate, PE ECT, PE teacher or have a sports background as a key element of this cover position will be to support our PE department. You will be highly motivated, enthusiastic, reliable and committed to working with students in order to support their development and achievement.

The position would be ideal for someone who is interested in pursuing a career in PE/sports within an educational setting. You will work under the guidance of our Cover Manager to provide cover for all lessons during the short-term absence of teachers, with PE being a priority. Full support and training in classroom management will be provided. Horsforth School is also a beacon school for Health and Wellbeing and a Mindmate champion.

This role could be an excellent way to launch a career in education.  You will receive a valuable insight into children’s behaviour and pedagogical approaches and gain opportunities to observe student development and progression. It is an ideal opportunity to gain valuable classroom experience whilst maintaining a PE focus.
