Organisational Development Worker (temporary) (E6629) - Little London Arts

This is an exciting opportunity to support Little London Arts with its current development activity on a freelance, short-term basis.

The role requires specific knowledge and experience of the voluntary sector / charitable work while providing an opportunity to learn more about the specific nature and impact of our work.

About us 

We are a small voluntary sector organisation with a 20+ year track record of delivering community-based learning and cultural activities in the city of Leeds. We operate without dedicated premises with all administrative business undertaken on a working-from-home basis. The current development plan includes registering as a charity (CIO) with the Charity Commission, for which we require your help. Our main activity is the Cultural & Social Outings project, a programme of year-round outings for older adults aged 50+ who experience, or are at risk of, exclusion, isolation and/or loneliness, or who otherwise benefit from increased opportunities to get out and about with others.

About you 

You will have working experience within the Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE) sector relevant to the duties to be undertaken which include application to register as a CIO with the Charity Commission. You will need to demonstrate your ability and commitment to working in conjunction with the Project Developer & Coordinator, while using your knowledge of the sector and initiative to deliver objectives within a relatively short period.

Job description and person specification

Responsible to: Project Developer & Coordinator and Management Committee

Salary: Fixed fee for freelance work £3,360

Hours: 14 hours/week x 12 weeks approx., flexible

Location: Working from home, meetings at other locations TBA

Contract: Temporary, self-employed

You will be responsible for registering with and/or reporting your self-employed income to HMRC
