Level 2 Teaching Assistant

Term Time Only + 5 Days – (33.50 hours per week) to start as soon as possible

Scale B3 (Point 7 -11) Actual range between £19,923 to £21,521 approx.

Hawksworth Wood Primary school is a friendly and welcoming school close to both the Kirkstall and Horsforth areas of Leeds.  

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed teaching assistant to help support class teachers to start as soon as possible. 

Purpose of job

To work under the direct instruction of teaching/senior staff, usually in the classroom with the teacher, to support access to learning for a range of pupils and to provide general support to the teacher in the management of pupils and the classroom. 

The successful candidate will need to be able to engage children in learning and assist the class teacher in providing a stimulating learning environment. They should be able to work with children in small groups, individually and deliver intervention programmes.
