Hours: 35.5 per week, term time plus 10 days

Starting salary: £21,123.37 (actual salary)

Leeds Pivot are an independent special school operating over four sites in very close proximity. Our curriculum offer is focused on developing the whole learner, working with their interests to engage them in education in order for them to feel successful and to take positive steps in their journey to adulthood and beyond. We have a variety of offers and pathways to meet the needs for learners with Autism, complex social interaction needs, emotional challenges and other learning needs.

We are currently seeking enthusiastic and resilient Learning and Behaviour Mentors (Teaching Assistants) to support our young people. We are looking for candidates who have experience of working with young people with complex needs, who can engage and inspire. 

Our Learning and Behaviour Mentors play a key role in addressing the barriers to learning for our learners and this role will work 1:1 with learners in order to enable them to achieve their full potential. Through innovative, creative and professional practice, you will be able to engage our young people and inspire them to learn new skills and develop their self-esteem.
