As an Integration and Partnerships Officer at Migration Yorkshire, you will play a vital role in supporting the Yorkshire and Humber region to achieve the most positive outcomes from migration.You willwork across Migration Yorkshire supporting local authorities, the Home Office and other key partners in their work on migration locally, and collectively at sub-regional and regional levels. This includes support across a range of strategic and operational issues. A broad understanding of migration, the political and operational infrastructure that surrounds it and an ability to adapt to the specific requirements of the assigned role are required.

As Integration and Partnerships Officer, you will bring to the role:
- Experience of working in complex multi-agency partnerships to resolve issues or develop new ways of working.
- Detailed knowledge of policy relating to migration.
- Ability to professionally represent the organisation to external stakeholders at meetings and events.
- Detailed knowledge of experiences, needs and entitlements of different migrant groups Ability to analyse complex policy and service delivery information and extract key information and lessons.
- High level communication skills – written and in person.
- Experience in providing information and guidance on the rights, entitlements, needs, experiences of migrants.

Your role will include close collaboration with local authorities, government departments and voluntary sector organisations, as well as direct engagement with resettled individuals and families. You will have a strong understanding of the interaction between policy and operational impacts. Job purpose
This job description covers a number of roles across Migration Yorkshire with focuses on asylum, provision of services for UASC, resettlement including the Afghan Resettlement Programme, ESOL and other areas. Dependent on the specific role this will define assigned responsibilities and to which service manager the post holder will report.
The purpose of this post is to support Local Authorities and other key partners in their work on migration locally, and collectively at sub-regional and regional levels. This will include support across a range of strategic and operational issues. The responsibilities of the role apply to all Integration and Partnership Officers, and a broad understanding of migration and an ability to adapt to the specific requirements of the assigned role are required.

Responsibilities
- Work with Local Authorities and key partners to develop and support their strategic and operational approach to migration.
- Attend local sub-regional migration meetings and representing Migration Yorkshire.
- Work across the region on a range of migration issues which may include:
- Asylum support contract and housing issues
- Support for refugee resettlement including the Aghan Resettlement Programme
- ESOL provision
- Support for UASC
- Integration support for new refugees
- Liaise with and develop good working relationships Local Authorities, central government, including the Home Office, voluntary sector organisations and private providers, where appropriate, to meet the objectives of Migration Yorkshire and specific programmes.
- Produce and disseminate data and information widely.
- Deliver training and guidance to Local Authorities and other key partners.
- Provide excellent customer service to all stakeholders.
- Respect the sensitive and confidential nature of the work. Follow good practice in data protection.
- Provide occasional cover for other team members as required, commensurate with the grade.
- Be responsive to the needs of the Migration Yorkshire team and support colleagues as required.
- Able and willing to travel across Yorkshire and Humber, and occasionally beyond the region.

Qualifications
- Degree level education or equivalent through relevant training/experience.
