Hinsley Hall Night Manager x2 (E4789) - Diocese of Leeds

Hinsley Hall is part of the Diocese of Leeds and operates as a Hotel and is the Diocesan Pastoral, Conference and Retreat Centre. The Night Managers will be responsible for the smooth operation of the hotel during the night to ensure high standards of guest satisfaction and safety are achieved consistently.

The key responsibilities of the role are:

  • To act as the manager on duty for the hotel and resolve any complaints, problems, disturbances or any other enquiries.
  • Work as part of the management team covering Duty Management and Reception shifts.
  • Receiving a hand-over from Duty Manager and ensuring that all aspects of the night service are dealt with in an efficient and effective manner, under your supervision. 
  • Providing a warm welcome to guests on arrival at check-in and dealing with guest enquiries and resolving queries effectively. 
  • Answering the telephone and resolve queries arising.
  • Ensuring all entrances to the hotel are locked at an appropriate time and full night security measures are followed for safety of staff and guests. 
  • Execute the hotel emergency/fire procedures should an emergency happen. 
  • Maintaining a safe and secure environment for customers and staff ensuring all health and safety procedures are observed.
  • Handle cash transactions and maintain accurate records of sales and inventory.
  • Ensuring conference guests have the information and facilities that they need, including any technology set up. 
  • Ensuring the conference/meeting rooms are set up ready for any conferences due to take place the next day. 
  • Resolve any issues or conflict that may arise among staff or customers. 
  • Attend to guest’s requirements in line with the hotels policies and procedures. 
  • Be fully conversant with the fire panel, intruder alarms and all associated procedures.
  • Working behind the bar on some shifts.
  • Always maintain a professional and high-quality service-oriented environment.
  • To carry out any other occasional duties as required by the General Manager.
