Governors and Trustees seek to appoint an energetic and highly motivated senior leader to the position of Headteacher, a strong Executive Leadership model would also be considered.
This is an exciting opportunity for a talented individual to lead and inspire Ashfield Primary School community to the next stage of its development.
Ashfield Primary School is part of Collaborative Learning Trust and has a history of working in partnership with local schools, and is also part of the Family of Schools network which meets and works together throughout the year. Ashfield is situated in the small working town of Otley, and therefore has easy access to the historic market town, the Chevin Forest Park and the River Wharfe for further learning opportunities. As well as having natural beauty on our doorstep, Ashfield has spacious grounds, useful for PE and playtime with wilder areas including a pond on site to explore in art, drama, science and geography.
Our older pupils contribute to school life within their roles as school counsellors, eco-committee, librarians, Mind Mate ambassadors, sports leaders and digital leaders.
The successful applicant will have a proven track record of excellent leadership and management and the knowledge and skills to:
- Use the school’s vision and values to design and implement robust strategies to successfully develop and further improve our school
- Be an inspirational, dynamic and compassionate leader, able to build positive relationships with the school’s pupils, staff, parents, governors and the wider community
- Be dedicated to inclusivity and the removal of barriers to learning for all our pupils.
- Be outward looking, recognising the key contribution the school makes within the community whilst valuing and strengthening links with parents
- Work positively and collaboratively with senior leaders across our Trust, including the Chief Executive Officer
- Make the most of the high-quality professional development available through our Trust
- Engage all our pupils (including SEND and Disadvantaged Pupils) in a broad, balanced, creative and challenging curriculum so that they are happy and achieve their potential within a caring and inclusive community
