The children, staff and governors of Guiseley Primary School are looking for an inspirational, forward-thinking practitioner with proven leadership skills to fill the post of Deputy Head Teacher from September 2025 or as soon as possible thereafter.
Guiseley Primary School is a large, consistently good school with an intake of 45 pupils. Currently we have 416 children on roll which includes 60 nursery children. Our children and families are at the heart of all our work and we pride ourselves on being fully inclusive. We are part of the Aireborough Learning Partnership Trust, an established co-operative trust of maintained schools. We work collaboratively on school improvement to make a difference to benefit everyone in our local community.
The successful candidate will support the headteacher in both the strategic and day-to-day running of the school and will lead on personal development, behaviour and safeguarding. They will be an outstanding teacher who can mentor and support teachers in their development, alongside building strong relationships with families. The Deputy Head will initially be non-class based but will have the opportunity to teach across school in order to get to know the children and the school.
