The children, staff and governors at Burley St Matthias C of E Primary School are looking for an inspirational, forward-thinking practitioner with proven leadership skills to fill the post of Deputy Head Teacher as a key part of our senior leadership team from January 2026. The role is central to the school team, working with the Headteacher to accomplish the very best outcomes for our children.

  • This is an exciting time to join a motivated, friendly and vision-aligned team in a vibrant and successful school community.  Our Ofsted inspection has been completed in June 2025 and we are awaiting our report.

Our Deputy Headteacher will have a regular teaching commitment and will be expected to lead and have experience across the full primary age range.
