Role:

The Curriculum Leader for Computing and Business will provide strategic and operational leadership for an important curriculum area within Leeds West Academy.

You will be responsible for the quality of education across Computing and Business, including curriculum intent, implementation, and impact. Lead the continued development of a coherent and ambitious Key Stage 3 Computing curriculum alongside a successful Key Stage 4 offer, which currently includes BTEC Enterprise and BTEC Digital IT.

We are keen to appoint a leader who will build on this strong foundation while also bringing ideas, expertise, and ambition for future development. This may include the introduction of alternative or additional qualifications, such as GCSE Computer Science or other pathways that reflect the evolving landscape of digital and business education.

We welcome applications from both subject specialists and current or aspiring curriculum leaders from other disciplines who are able to transfer their leadership expertise, with appropriate support, into this curriculum area.

The role offers the opportunity to take ownership of a defined subject area while contributing to wider Quality of Education priorities across the academy.

At the White Rose Academies Trust in Leeds, we are committed to fostering a dynamic and innovative learning environment that inspires both our students and staff to excel. Choosing a role with us means joining a diverse and forward-thinking community dedicated to educational excellence. Our Trust is built on a foundation of inclusion and equality, and we are proud of the incredible progress we have made in delivering an outstanding education to the young people in our care.

When you join us, you become a part of something much larger than yourself – you become part of a team that is dedicated to making a positive impact on the lives of our students and the wider communities that we serve.
