Salary: £33,637 - £34,698 per annum
Hours: 37
Contract: Permanent
Location: The Grammar School at Leeds
Closing Date and Time: Monday 18th May 2026 at 9am
We are seeking a Compliance Manager to join our Estates Team at The Grammar School at Leeds, supporting the Director of Estates in delivering a safe, compliant and well-managed school environment. This is a varied and hands-on role, ideal for someone who is proactive and keen to build their expertise in health and safety within a supportive setting. You will play a key part in maintaining statutory records, monitoring compliance, supporting risk assessments and helping to embed a positive safety culture across the school. Excellent organisational skills will be crucial for the successful candidate.
This opportunity would suit someone who is developing their career in compliance, health and safety or estates management, and who is motivated to learn and grow within the role. We are particularly interested in individuals who are adaptable, curious and open to shaping their practice in line with our systems and values. You will work closely with colleagues across the school, offering guidance, supporting inspections and audits, and contributing to training and continuous improvement, with the encouragement to build your knowledge over time.
The successful candidate will be a strong communicator with excellent organisational skills, able to balance a busy and varied workload while maintaining attention to detail. A collaborative, approachable manner and a willingness to take initiative are essential, as is a genuine commitment to safeguarding, equality and creating a safe environment for all. If you are looking for a role where you can make a meaningful impact while continuing to learn and develop, we would be pleased to hear from you.
