Behaviour Support Officer (E7771) - Allerton High School

The Behaviour Support Officer plays a vital role in ensuring that students with SEMH needs have the support they need in school to be able to access education with the aim of reintegrating into mainstream lessons. 

The role of the Behaviour Support Officer is to offer a supportive learning environment for students who are completing a short-term placement in The Bridge. The Bridge is used as a short term, usually full time space for students who have presented with challenging behaviours in mainstream school.

Duties include:

  • Support specialist teaching staff during their lessons in The Bridge
  • Deliver PSE style lessons and activities that promote personal development
  • Deliver targeted restorative packages to support improving behaviours
