Job Title: Attendance Support Officer
Grade: C1 – Actual Salary £24,446 to £26,518
Hours: 37 hours per week, Term Time Only plus 10 days
Accountable to: Attendance Leader

Role:
- To monitor attendance across the academy in conjunction with the Pastoral Team, identifying and prioritising focus areas.
- To attend and provide information for regular attendance meetings with relevant members of the Pastoral Team e.g. Year Managers.
- To plan and agree strategies to target improvements in attendance for specific students.
- To support with the process of monitoring letters and fines, collaborating with the Local Authority to facilitate the success of fines and prosecutions.
- To manage attendance meetings at the family home and school, discuss and support with attendance issues.
- To complete and record School Attendance Panel meetings including outcomes.
- To assist with home visits as required.
- To ensure accurate records relating to attendance and home school elective are maintained.
- To work on a 1-2-1 and group basis with students to improve attendance.
