Administrator (E7137) - Ireland Wood Primary School

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Admin Assistant to work in our busy, friendly school. Working under the direction of the School Business Manager you will provide an efficient and effective administrative support service within the school. Duties include general school administration, correspondence to parents, reception/switchboard cover, attendance/admissions and to support the school’s financial systems. This is a challenging and varied role, therefore the ability to use your own initiative, work independently and manage your own workload are essential. The post holder must be able to embrace the ethos of the school and work as part of a team to provide the support required to pupils, parents and staff.

Required to start in July. 22.5 hours a week over 3 days term time only (plus 5 days) hours and days of work to be decided.

  • Have sound administrative ability and excellent skills in the use of Microsoft Office.
  • Be motivated, innovative, adaptable and enthusiastic in all aspects of their work.
  • Have confidence in using Management Information Systems and an ability to learn new systems and processes quickly.
  • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to communicate effectively with a range of people, including parents/carers, pupils, staff and visitors.
  • Show initiative and have the capacity to problem solve in a calm and professional manner.
  • Be hard-working and a good team player.
  • Can look and think "outside the box"
  • Be enthusiastic, creative, innovative and prepared to "roll your sleeves up and get stuck in"
  • Be well organised, yet flexible.
