As a Teaching Assistant you will play a vital role in supporting our pupils’ learning and wellbeing during this important stage of their primary education. Working in close partnership with our dedicated teachers and wider staff team, you will help create a nurturing and stimulating classroom environment where every child can thrive.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the class teacher to deliver engaging and effective learning experiences for all pupils.
  • Provide tailored support to small groups and individual children, helping them to achieve their best and develop confidence in their abilities.
  • Assist with classroom organisation and management, ensuring a positive and inclusive atmosphere where children feel safe and inspired to learn.
  • Deliver targeted interventions to support children’s progress, adapting your approach to meet individual needs and celebrate every success.

The Person

  • We are looking for someone who is warm, resilient, and open to new possibilities - a team player who is excited to support children on their learning journey and contribute to our caring school community.
  • A genuine passion for working with children and helping them reach their full potential.
  • An approachable, positive attitude and the ability to build strong relationships with pupils, colleagues, and families.
  • A good understanding of the primary curriculum, with strong skills in maths and English (minimum Grade C or Level 4/5).
  • Flexibility, initiative, and a willingness to learn and grow as part of a supportive team.
