Casual Activity Workers (B3 Grade)

Many exciting opportunities are available for suitably qualified people to be non-contracted Casual Activity Workers.

We particularly need experienced Outdoor Activity staff including; Climbers, Kayaking/Canoeists. Additional opportunities for Cooks and MIDAS trained Drivers.

In addition we require staff with young people group work experience with an ability to support and deliver other activities such as after school clubs, D of E Award, outdoor education skills, Motorbike tutors, Bicycle maintenance, Horticulture & the Environment. Qualifications would need to be up to date, recognised by Leeds City Council and evidenced prior to commencement of post.

You will be asked to undertake site specific training to enable delivery of activities at the West Leeds Activity Centre (formerly Armley LAZER Centre), Lineham Farm Children’s Centre and Herd Farm Residential & Activity Centre (Eccup). You will be re-numerated in accordance with the skills, qualifications and experience required for the job, which will be £10.52 per hr (incl’ holiday entitlement). You will be asked to work at various times and days which will include evenings, weekends and school holiday periods as business needs require it.                                                                                    

The successful candidates will be dynamic, enthusiastic and will work flexibly across the three Activity centres. They will be able to work with children and young people to extend their learning in the outdoor environment and deliver an excellent service to all of our clients.
