Leeds City Council are recruiting self-employed Supported Lodgings Providers to offer accommodation and independence skills to young people and adults aged 16 – 21 (up to 25 if in further education and/or have additional needs). These young people will be either leaving the care system or have found themselves to be homeless. They are need of supported lodgings to enable them to learn the skills to become independent within their own accommodation. Supported Lodging Providers will be people from all walks of life and from all kinds of cultural and ethnic backgrounds. Being a Supported Lodgings Provider is not about having particular qualifications – it’s more about having the special skills and qualities that are needed to work with young people and adults. Providers will receive an allowance per young person to cover their expenses. Providers are expected to provide food and basic amenities e.g. heating, electric, water etc.
