Digital Enterprise is an innovative business support programme aimed at small to medium sized businesses based in the Leeds City Region.  The programme helps businesses to invest in digital technology solutions that support business growth and digital transformation through funding schemes (Vouchers) and also provides opportunities to develop digital skills.

Digital Enterprise was established in 2016 and has so far assisted over 1,400 businesses. The next phase of the programme will commence in September 2019.

The programme is delivered by Leeds City Council on behalf of a partnership of local authorities within the Leeds City Region and the West Yorkshire Combined Authority.

We are currently seeking to strengthen our programme delivery team with the recruitment of a Digital Growth Advisor – focusing on helping businesses to improve their digital connectivity/broadband.  

The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated individual, who is prepared to work flexibly and as part of a team, in a high profile and demanding environment, working to tight deadlines to achieve success for the programme.

This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with highly developed interpersonal, organisational and negotiation skills along with good project management experience. 

The successful candidate will have a good level of experience in advising small to medium sized businesses on digital technology solutions, specifically digital connectivity - in either a commercial or public sector environment. 

The role involves strong partnership working across the Leeds City Region, establishing professional relationships with small businesses, digital suppliers and partner organisations. Hence, applicants should have good communication, negotiation and networking skills. 

In addition, the successful candidate should be proficient in Microsoft office applications and using CRMs (Customer Relationship Management) systems to manage clients and report on progress.

The position is offered on a fixed term basis for two years – with a good prospect of extension by 12 months (subject to funding). The post holder will be based at our offices in Leeds city centre, but with regular travel to other districts within the city region.
