We are looking for an outstanding person to join our senior team and give leadership to the transformation of Children Services across Wakefield. As Service Manager, you will provide strategic leadership for our Children's partnerships and governance, policy, planning, projects and business intelligence functions.
You will ensure we have a robust strategic governance framework and operating arrangements, together with effective performance management, analysis and reporting systems to support our culture of continuous learning and improvement.
As Service manager you will be responsible for leading teams to deliver projects and programmes working across the Council and partners to drive forward service transformation and improved outcomes for children and families. You will lead on the preparation, planning and strategic coordination of Ofsted and other inspections.
Qualified to degree level, you will need to have extensive knowledge of the key challenges facing local government in the context of securing service delivery and continuous improvement, together with extensive experience at a senior management level.
You will need to have the ability to inspire and empower individuals and teams to transform and sustain a high performing service, with strong business planning and management skills and the ability to make timely decisions within a risk management framework.
