JOB TITLE: Family Services Manager
REPORTING TO: CEO
SALARY: £29,000 - £31,000 per annum dependent on experience
HOURS: 37.5 hrs per week
ANNUAL LEAVE: 28 days per year plus public holidays
CONTRACT: Temporary, maternity cover role
LOCATION: The Vinery Centre, 20 Vinery Terrace, LS9 9LU.
Leeds Mencap’s Family Services Manager will be going on maternity leave at the end of October and so we need a knowledgeable and skilled manager to manage and develop the services in her absence.
We anticipate the role will be for a period of 11 months as the Family Services Manager intends to return to work in September 2020.
For this key role we are looking for someone who has significant experience in working with children/young people with disabilities and their families or carers. The successful candidate will also have substantial experience and knowledge in managing safeguarding and will take a lead safeguarding role in Leeds Mencap.
You will need to work hard and be flexible in your approach. You will have strong leadership skills to equip you to lead a diverse team of staff, students, volunteers and placements.
You will be strong at planning and will have well developed organisational skills. You will be able to form productive and collaborative relationships and partnerships and will have excellent interpersonal, negotiation and listening skills to enable you to do this.
