Are you interested in an exciting opportunity to join Leeds City Council and begin an exciting career in administration?

We are the second largest council in the country and our administration service has over 1,100 employees spread across over 130 locations in the city.

We are recruiting for a number of positions in a variety of teams across our service. We provide administration support to teams throughout the council and have opportunities for people in permanent, temporary, peripatetic and casual roles.

There are a wide variety of roles within the organisation and at various locations across the city (see Service Area Information attached).

As an employer, we have flexible working arrangements in place and so there are opportunities for working various patterns of hours throughout the week.

For our B1 grade, you don’t need to have a lot of previous experience as you will be trained in the role. All we’re looking for are people who have IT, numeracy and literacy skills, and willingness to learn and who want to help make us the best council in the UK.

For our B3 roles, we require more established skills, but again training will be provided.

This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking to work in an organisation where they can help us to change our culture and behaviours, who has a can do attitude and is prepared to learn and bring new ideas to a role. If you are a positive and motivated team player and are ready for a new challenge, this could be the role for you.

Candidates will be considered for roles based on application, assessment and interview.

When completing the application form, please specify which position/grade you are interested in, hours you ideally want to work (including patterns) and the locations that would best suit you.

The application form consists of five questions; if these are not completed your application form will not be shortlisted.

Shortlisted applicants will be invited to an initial assessment session, potentially leading to interview.

Please note that this is a rolling advert; applications will be reviewed throughout the year.

We promote diversity and want a workforce that reflects the population of Leeds.

A Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check may be carried out on the preferred candidates, dependent on the role.
