Pudsey Grammar School is a thriving secondary school and sixth form educating students aged 11-18. Established in 1905, our school boasts a long and proud history combined with a modern, state-of-the-art building designed to inspire learning and achievement. We are heavily oversubscribed with 1,350 students in the main school and 250 in the sixth form.

About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Year Leader to provide professional leadership and management for a specific year group. This crucial role ensures the highest standards of care and welfare for all students, supporting their academic and personal development throughout the year.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a dedicated year group, ensuring a positive and supportive environment for all students
- Oversee the deployment of student support services within the year group
- Collaborate closely with the Director of Studies and a committed team of Form Tutors to effectively support all students within the year group.
- Receive, act upon, and manage any reported concerns in line with the school’s Child Protection Policy
- Promote and uphold best safeguarding practises as part of the Student Support Team
- Organise and utilise the capacity of the year group team effectively to meet student needs
Qualifications and Experience
- Appropriate qualifications and/or relevant experience working with young people
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong organisational skills and ability to lead a team
- Understanding of safeguarding and child protection responsibilities
