We are looking for a highly motivated Teaching Assistant to join our team in January.
Hours: Full time 8.45am - 3.15pm 5 days per week
Pay Scale: Starting point on this scale will reflect experience
The governors at West End Primary School are looking to appoint a teaching assistant to join our staffing team at West End. The applicant will be working across all areas of the primary years, including Early Years and must have NVQ level 3 or equivalent qualifications, previous experience working with children and a strong commitment to child development.
Your role will be working under the direct instruction and guidance of the teaching staff to provide high quality academic, social and nurturing support for children both in and outside the classroom.
This is an exciting role with scope to grow and develop over time. You will receive full support from the senior leadership team and teaching staff. Any necessary additional training will be provided.

- Can offer experience of working with children within the last 12 months.
- Hold an NVQ Level 3 or higher qualification linked to child development.
- Have empathy and patience, with the ability to communicate well with others.

- A willingness and enthusiasm to commit to the expectations of the role and contribute to wider school responsibilities.
- A commitment to the importance of safeguarding children within schools
