Actual salary: Teaching Assistant - B1 (4) £16,753 or B3 (7) £17,563. Lunchtime Support - A1 (2) £1,353.

We are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant on a temporary contract to join our team from 1st September 2025 for the full academic year. There may be an opportunity to extend this post subject to budget availability.
The position is for 32.50 hours per week consisting of:
Teaching Assistant - 30 hours per week
Lunchtime Support – 2.50 hours per week
Monday to Friday 8.30pm – 3.30pm term-time only.
Joining our existing SEND team, you will be working within a small provision for KS1 and 2 SEND pupils under the guidance of the lead teacher and SENDCo. The provision is run following EYFS principles, the learning follows a theme - creative and practical ways of learning are encouraged. The teacher plans carefully to ensure activities support individual targets. Learning is promoted through the use of visual timetables, intensive interaction, colourful semantics and adult modelling.
We are looking for someone who can establish good relationships with children and respond appropriately to individual needs, someone who is able to communicate effectively with children and staff and is able to encourage pupils to act independently. The role includes supporting children with their speech and language development, social skills and specific targets linked to their learning.
A desire to support pupils with complex needs and a willingness to embrace creative approaches is essential to this role.
