We are seeking to appoint a committed and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant (Level 2) to join our team in Key Stage 2 on a fixed-term basis to cover maternity leave.

The successful candidate will work under the guidance of teaching staff to provide support for pupils’ learning, welfare and personal development. You will help ensure a positive and inclusive learning environment, supporting individual and group work, and contributing to the wider life of the school.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting pupils in Key Stage 2, including those with additional needs, to access learning.
  • Assisting with the planning and delivery of learning activities.
  • Monitoring and recording pupil progress and providing feedback to teachers.
  • Promoting positive behaviour, independence and self-esteem.
  • Establishing constructive relationships with pupils, staff and parents/carers.
  • Contributing to the overall ethos and aims of the school.

The successful candidate will have:

  • NVQ Level 2 in Supporting Teaching and Learning (or equivalent qualification/experience).
  • Experience of working with or caring for children of relevant age.
  • Good numeracy, literacy and ICT skills.
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • A commitment to safeguarding, inclusion and equality of opportunity.
