Contract: Fixed term contract until the end of March 2027.
Location: Beeston Village Community Centre, Leeds, LS11

We are looking for a motivated, community-focused Small Groups Development Worker to join our Better Together Service. This is an exciting role supporting local volunteers and community groups to grow, thrive, and deliver vital health and wellbeing activities across South Leeds.

If you’re passionate about empowering people, building community connections, and helping local groups access the support and skills they need, we’d love to hear from you.

In this role you will support and train volunteers who run small community health and wellbeing groups. You will have the ability to build a network that brings groups together to share ideas, resources, and peer support. You will provide advice to local people wanting to start new community groups, share information on funding opportunities and help groups develop their capacity.

The successful candidate will enjoy working with people and building relationships, have experience of supporting volunteers or community groups. They will be organised, proactive, and able to manage their own workload. They will have excellent communication skills and be able to adapt to the needs of diverse communities and will be passionate about community development and reducing health inequalities.

    • Hours: 25 per week(Days and hours to be discussed at interview)
