At Co-op Academy Leeds, we’re committed to creating opportunities which enable our young people to reach their potential and as such, we’re looking for an enthusiastic and talented Teaching Assistant to complement and reinforce our SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disability) support for pupils accessing the Offsite Provision.
Working in partnership with, and under the direction of our Offsite Manager, you’ll provide support for students and guide our young people to overcome their barriers to learning.
Support may be provided on a whole-class, specific cohort, or one-to-one basis both in and outside of the learning space, sometimes encountering challenging behaviour and a wide range of abilities and needs. These could be specific learning needs, engagement issues and/or challenges with social, emotional and mental health; this means that no two days will be the same. It’s therefore imperative that you possess a high-level of emotional maturity and resilience and can adapt to changing priorities.
