This is an exciting time to join the founding team of a brand-new school, Trinity Academy Leeds as it continues to grow and develop. Trinity Academy Leeds opened its doors in September 2021 to 240 students from across the city and has already established a strong culture of excellence where all staff are united under the same shared mission, to enrich and strengthen the life choices and chances of the young people in east Leeds and beyond.  Our school is now in its fifth year and currently has 1190 students on roll and we had our first Ofsted inspection in May 2024 and achieved 'outstanding in all areas'.

At Trinity Academy Leeds, standards are incredibly high, and every young person is guided into adopting and developing positive learning habits through a clear, robust, and consistent set of expectations from the very day that they join us.  We are passionate about providing a quality of education and a climate for learning that is good enough for the children of East Leeds because it is good enough for the children in our own/extended families.

As a growing school we are seeking to expand our staff team and recruit like-minded individuals who are passionate about supporting young people to be the very best that they can be, and we are now seeking to appoint a SEND Support Worker.

The role of SEND Support Worker will provide administrative and support to the SEND team including:

  • Deliver small group targeted interventions
  • Track and monitor the success of interventions
  • Create appropriate resources for targeted students
  • Work closely with students on caseload to support them to thrive
  • Work in partnership with teachers and support staff to meet needs of child
  • Monitoring SEND data
  • Supporting SEND transition processes and systems
  • Supporting SEND Parent meetings and communication
  • Contributing to EHCP based IEPs and the 3 to thrive register

What we need:

  • At least 5 GCSES at grade C or 4/5 or above, including English and Maths
  • Evidence of experience working with young people with a range of SEND needs
  • Ability to forge strong and positive relationships with students to motivate and inspire them to achieve their goals
  • Experience of supporting young people in a classroom environment
  • Ability to prioritise work and to manage work to meet tight deadlines
