An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic SEND Teaching Assistant with experience in working with pupils with additional needs including ASC to join our talented team of support staff in KS1.

Beechwood is a large and dynamic primary school, where teaching assistants make a vital contribution to the wellbeing and progress of our pupils. We are looking for someone with experience of working with children with complex needs within a primary school setting.

The role involves working primarily 1-1 though will also involve small groups as well as general classroom support work under the direction of the class teacher.  Appropriate support will be given to facilitate delivery of the role. We require a committed person who wants to play an active role in ensuring that SEND pupils receive provision of the highest quality.

Hours of work: 32.5 hours per week, term time only plus five training days. Temporary contract, one year in the first instance.
