Thank you for your interest in working at Pudsey Bolton Royd Primary School.  We are looking for an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant, who enjoys supporting children in a mainstream setting.  The post will be supporting a child in Key Stage 1.

The hours for this post are 32.5 hours per week, term time only.  These hours will be Monday – Friday 8:30am to 3:30pm.   This is initially a temporary role linked to funding with the possibility being made permanent in the future.  School would be open to the possibility of part time or flexible working for the right candidate.

This is open to qualified or non-qualified Teaching Assistant ideally with experience of working with SEND children preferably of children with autism, SEMH or behavioural issues. We are looking for a Teaching Assistant who will:

  • Support the needs of individual children within the classroom
  • Have high expectations within the classroom setting through commitment to raising the standard of learning for all pupils
  • Demonstrate a positive attitude towards all aspects of their work
  • Have a good knowledge of the primary curriculum
  • Work well as part of a team

The right candidate will have:

  • Good literacy and numeracy skills.
  • An ability to work on their own initiative.
  • A high level of communication skills and the ability to relate positively to children and adults.
  • The ability to use relevant technology/equipment.
