Iveson Primary is an inclusive two – form entry primary school with nursery in the north west of the city. The school underwent a significant refurbishment in 2018/19 as part of its’ expansion to two form entry and now boasts two libraries, an Art and DT room, a nurture room, dining hall and separate gym as well as larger than average classrooms. The school sits in extensive grounds which incorporate a secret garden, allotment, playing field and three large playgrounds. In September 2023 it opened a brand new 16 place (8 in the first year) resourced provision for children with ASD.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an SEN Teaching Assistant to be appointed in the main school.
The SEN Teaching Assistant appointed to this post will work alongside the SENCO and teachers to help shape, implement and deliver a high-quality learning experience for all our children to raise the learning and attainment in both academic and EHCP areas. Supporting pupils, individually or in small groups, so they can access all areas of the curriculum, always promoting pupils’ independence. Integral to this role is the willingness to undertake related training and hold/or be willing to undertake a First Aid qualification and deliver personal care as required.
